The Hourglass Protocol primarily constitutes an open, composable infrastructure layer for all protocols and applications that see a use for assets based on our standard.
There is a market need for a new meta-standard for digital assets that cannot be limited by the existing model of ownership and asset governance.
We believe that the Hourglass Protocol can have extensive application in such areas of the cryptocurrency ecosystem as gaming, for instance, where Hourglasses can be used to regulate access to limited resources within the game world.
We also see the application of our protocol in regulating access to computing power and AI models in a decentralized infrastructure, where access can be granted to entities that value it the most and are able to use it most productively and efficiently.
The entire code of our protocol will soon be available and fully open-source. We realize that managing ownership is a huge responsibility, which is why before moving to the official, production version of the application, our code will undergo an audit. We will also soon provide an SDK code that will enable interaction with our protocol.
